Under the "Meaningful Meetings" initiative, the Association of Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria (AHCB) held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Dong-bae Kim, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Republic of Bulgaria. Ambassador Dong-bae Kim has been in Bulgaria since March 2025 and is very active in the development of business and cultural relations. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mrs. Mikyoung Yun, Counselor, and Ms. Seung-eun Lee, Expert in the Political and Economic Section
The meeting was held in friendly atmosphere, with frank conversation about the challenges facing Bulgaria and the prospects for development of the bilateral relations. Discussed were the development and future of the European Union, ASEAN and the broader relations with the UK, USA, Russia and China. Bulgaria and Korea have a long-standing and stable economic relationship and areas that have potential for enlargement and main obstacles to that were discussed.
