Under the "Meaningful Meetings" initiative, the Association of Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria (AHCB) held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Arun Kumar Sahu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of India to Republic of Bulgaria and North Macedonia. Ambassador Sahu has been in Bulgaria since March 2025 and is very active in the development of business and cultural relations.
The meeting was held in friendly atmosphere, with frank conversation about the challenges facing Bulgaria and the prospects for development of the bilateral relations, the opportunities arising from the signed new trade agreement between India and the European Union, the wider relations with the USA, Russia, China and Turkey were discussed. Bulgaria and India have a long-standing economic relationship, and areas that have potential for development and major obstacles were discussed.
