Under the "Meaningful Meetings" initiative, the Association of Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria (AHCB) held a meeting with HE Mr. Flemming Stender, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Bulgaria. Ambassador Stender has been in Bulgaria since August 2024 and is very active in the development of business and cultural relations.
The meeting was held in friendly atmosphere, with frank conversation about the challenges facing Bulgaria and the prospects for development of the bilateral relations. Discussed were the development and future of the European Union and the broader relations with the UK, USA, Russia, China and Turkey. Bulgaria and Denmark have a long-standing and stable economic relationship and areas that have potential for enlargement and main obstacles to that were discussed.
