Under the "Meaningful Meetings" initiative, the Association of Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria (AHCB) held a meeting with H.E. Mehmet Sait Uyanık Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Republic of Bulgaria, accompanied by Mr. Murat Acar, Counsellor and Miss Sümeyye Ceren Özkan, First Secretary.
Ambassador Uyanık has been in Bulgaria since May 2024 and is very active in the development of business and cultural relations.
The meeting was held in friendly atmosphere, with frank conversation about the challenges facing Bulgaria and the prospects for development of the bilateral relations. Broader relations with the European Union, the USA, Russia, China and Africa were discussed. Bulgaria and Türkiye have a long-standing and stable economic relationship and areas that have potential for development and main obstacles to FDI in Bulgaria were discussed.
