Under the "Meaningful Meetings" initiative, the Association of Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria (AHCB) held a meeting with H.E. Nathaniel Copsey, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, British Embassy in Sofia, His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria.
Ambassador Copsey has been in Bulgaria since October 2024 and is very active in the development of business and cultural relations.
The meeting was held in a frank and friendly atmosphere, about the challenges facing Bulgaria and the prospects for development of the bilateral relations. Broader relations with the European Union, the USA, Turkey, Russia, China and Africa were discussed. Bulgaria and the United Kingdom have a long-standing and stable economic relationship and areas that have potential for development and main obstacles to FDI in Bulgaria were discussed.
